The festival is hosted by Minakami, Japans premiere adventure tourism destination. The town is easily accesses by car or train from Tokyo with both expressways, bullet train and normal train station options available.
The main venue for the event is called Mizukikokan, an official rest area located on the banks of the Tone River just 5 mins from the Minakami IC.
The Kanetsu Expressway (toll road) runs through Minakami. The journey from Nerima IC in northern Tokyo to Minakami IC will take approximately 2 hours without traffic. The festival location is just 5 minutes from the Kanetsu Expressway and we have FREE parking onsite.
You can choose between either Jomokogen(Bullet train) or Minakami (Normal line) station so you can join the festival. Please check Train Timetables in English for the best times to access the festival.
1) From Tokyo or Ueno Station take the Bullet train (65 minutes) to Jomokogen Station
2) From Ueno take the local train JR Takasaki Line to Takasaki. Then transfer to JR Joetsu Line to Minakami Station (2 hours 45 minutes)
